🌟 A New Chapter for Geurie Village & District🌟 Nearly three years ago, this page started with a simple mission: to celebrate our beautiful village, our hardworking farming businesses, and our incredible community. It has been an absolute joy, and a true team effort! Thank you for every photo, memory, and message shared. 📸✨ 🔄 Handing Over the Reins With the formation of the Geurie Village & District Association Inc. it is the perfect time to hand over ownership of this page (and our Facebook page) to the Association. We can’t wait to see them continue to champion our district! ⏱️ What’s Next for Me? The current team is taking a well-deserved one-month break. After that, my role will pivot behind the scenes. I’ll be focusing on the “paperwork heavy lifting” securing grants, transitioning the Association to a registered Charity, and fighting for major infrastructure fixes like the Scabbing Flat Bridge. We want to see total transparency and real funding delivered to Geurie! ✨ A Proud Past, A Bright Future There is an incredible team of big-hearted humans now working together in the Association. Community gathering in Geurie last night to celebrate the official incorporation of the Geurie Village & District Association Incorporated. Delicious soup by @lemontreecafegeurie was great. Fresh bread & salted butter = yummo! The catering was brought into the @geuriebowlingclub & their kitchen was fantastic. Back roads around Geurie…. Magic time of year for a slow country drive. Dirt roads & blue skies & wide open plans. When was the last time you had an old fashioned family drive & popped into @mitchell_inn_geurie … enjoy a counter lunch (kids menu is awesome) & drive home via Mount Arthur on the River Road, or via the Zoo on the Benolong Road. Memories can be made on back roads, when weekends allow time to slow down a bit.
